Dear Colleagues:
This is to announce the call for papers for the FAVA Congress 2011, February 16-18, 2011 at the Waterfront Hotel, Cebu City, Philippines.
Background:
FAVA is the Federation of Asian Veterinary Associations. Member countries include the 2011 congress host Philippines, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, South Korea, Thailand, Brunei….The biennial congress was last held in Bangkok, Thailand in 2008.
The theme of the 16th FAVA Congress 2011 is "CONVERGENCE & COOPERATION IN ADDRESSING GLOBAL ANIMAL HEALTH, FREE TRADE & ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES".
There will be a joint FAVA-OIE Symposium to celebrate 250 Years of Veterinary Medicine in the World.
Concept:
The Congress will provide a platform to discuss issues, challenges and opportunities on convergence and cooperation in addressing global animal health, free trade and environmental issues.
Call for Papers – Submission of Abstracts
Deadline: Before September 30, 2010, email to the Scientific Program Committee (Attention: Dr. Jose Q. Molina/Enrique T. Carlos) scientificdirector@favacongress2011.com
Please indicate your preference for oral or poster presentation. Acceptance of papers is subject to decision by the Scientific Program Committee. Authors of accepted papers will be notified by October 15, 2010 to submit full paper by November 15, 2010.
Guidelines for Abstracts
Abstracts should be limited to one page only using MS Word 97-2003 Calibri Font 12 in A4 paper with left margin of 1.5 inches and top, right and bottom margins of 1 inch each.
The title should be in capital letters, bold and centered. The authors name should start on a new center line. Please specify the presenting author by underlining the name. The address should be in italics on a new line.
Abbreviations should be used where necessary but should be spelled out completely the first time they appear in the text.
Please indicate your preference for oral or poster presentation on the top left corner.
Oral presentations will be allowed 8 minutes and discussion for 2 minutes. Poster should be 90 centimeters wide and 80 centimeters high and readable from a distance of 1 meter.
